Clinical Evaluation of a Novel Glycolic Acid/Antioxidant–Based Antiaging Skin Care Regimen

A physician-dispensed glycolic acid/antioxidant–based topical skin care regimen was evaluated in this study for its effect on skin surface hydration, fine lines, and tactile roughness. This antiaging regimen was well tolerated and resulted in improved appearance in the majority of subjects.

Radiofrequency systems can be used to treat all skin types and have been successful in atrophic scar revision and removal of unwanted hair, vascular lesions, and inflammatory acne. This article serves as a review of radiofrequency systems for nonablative skin rejuvenation.

Acidified Amino Acids in the Management of Melasma

A patient with a 15-year history of melasma was treated with a combination of in-home and at-office treatments. Standard topical therapy of hydroquinone, tretinoin, and an α-hydroxy acid wash plus an acidified amino acid peel showed marked improvement of her condition.

Riehl Melanosis in a 27-Year-Old Bahraini Woman

The case of a 27-year-old female patient with patchy, blue-grey-brown pigmentation on the face and neck is presented. Upon examination, a diagnosis of Riehl melanosis, a nonpruritic pigmented dermatosis, was determined.
